October is the scariest month of the year. And not (just) because of Halloween. Cointelegraph reported some scary statistics for the month – a total of $2.98B in stolen cryptocurrency funds as of Oct. 31, 2022, which basically doubles the $1.55B lost in 2021. Data provided by Peckshield, a blockchain security firm.
On the other hand, ‘Hacktober’ brought us more than just hacks. Elon Musk is Chief Twit now stirring the Twitter world inside-out; Meta is sinking in revenues and having internal doubts about investing that much in metaverse development; and since September 30, Bitcoin is up 6.2% and Ethereum is up 17.55% which sounds amost like good news for the industry.
